Hepatitis B is a chronic disorder caused by Hepatitis B Virus (HBV). It has a severe affect on liver of a person. First dose should be ideal given when the baby is newly born. And all the series should be finished by the time he or she is 6 or 18 months old. Children and teenagers who couldn’t avail this vaccine must take it as soon as they can get vaccine against Hepatitis B. As for the unvaccinated adults those who are at risk of attracting this disease should get the shot immediately. These risks are sexual partners infected with Hepatitis B, people who inject street drugs, having multiple sex partners, people with liver or kidney disease, etc.
Hepatitis B vaccine is a safe vaccine and doesn’t have any side effect at all. In certain cases it has shown some mild problems that were experienced after the shot was taken. These problems include soreness around the area where one is given the shot and rise in the body temperature (99.9 degree F). In very rare cases it shows some allergic reactions.
